We’ve included a list of the important dates for each football league in January 2024 below for plenty has happened in the world of soccer in December. The leagues and the team standings within them were listed in our Sports News article from November 2023. Furthermore, it is evident who is leading the pack. EPL: Quite the change in the standings the last few week. Arsenal have dropped down to 4th position with 40 points and 3 losses in the last 5 games. Liverpool have made it to the top in 1st with 45 points and no game lost in the last 5. Aston Villa have moved into to 2nd with 42 points and one loss in the the last 5 games. Man City have dropped to 3rd place with 40 points in hand and one loss in the last 5 games. Man City and Arsenal have the same amount of points however there is a match due to Man City and a goal difference between the teams. Spurs remain in 5th position with 39 points and only 1 match lost in the last 5 games. Furthermore herewith the key match dates for January Sports Month:

Spain La Liga: Real madrid are still at the top spot at 45 points but Girona also have 35 points and are lying in second place, they are only separated by a goal difference. Furthermore Atletico Madrid is still in 3rd with 38 points, as is Barcelona with 38 in 4th position. Your key dates in January to diarise are:

Serie A: Inter is still top of the rankings with 45 points, then Juventus with 43 points in second place. Furthermore Milan in third place with 36 points, followed by Fiorentina with 33 points and Bologna in 5th with 31 points. Roma have since dropped to 7th and Napoli to 8th position. Thus mark the following key dates in January 2024:

Bundesliga: The Bundesliga took a winter break and restarts in January 2024. Currently in position 1 is Leverkusen with 42 points, then Bayern come in second with 38 points. In 3rd we have VfB Stuttgart with 34 points, RB Leipzig with 33 points in 4th and in 5th is Dortmund with 27 points.

Up-coming Sports Events January 2024
In December we saw the likes of Anthony Joshua v Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder v Joseph Parker in Riyadh on fight night. Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker both came out as the winners. We are excited to see what the boxing world hold for us this year. The HSBC 7’s kicked off in Dubai and then Cape Town, January will see them in Australia, Perth. AFCON 2023, kicking off in January 2024
The 34th edition of the biannual African association football competition, which is run by the Confederation of African Football, is set to take place in 2023. It is also referred to as the 2023 AFCON or CAN 2023, and, for sponsorship purposes, the TotalEnergies 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The tournament will commence on Saturday 13 January 2024 until 11 February 2024. AFCON 2024 takes place in the Ivory Coast with 24 teams battling it out for the Champions in Africa!
