The final of the Fifa Women’s World Cup was one for the history books. England and Spain put on quite the show and it was nail biting from the start straight to the finish. Olga Carmona from Spain scored a goal in the first half. However both teams had opportunities to the goal post numerous times. England’s goalkeeper, Mary Earps, has been named the best goalkeeper at the 2023 Women’s World Cup. She also claimed the Golden Glove award and was on fire in this tournament.

EPL: The 2023–24 English Premier League season has just completed its third matchday. Only Manchester City, the league’s defending champion, has gone three for three. While Brighton & Hove Albion, the previous table-toppers after two games, were rocked 3-1 at home by West Ham the day before, Pep Guardiola’s team scraped off a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United on Sunday. With a 3-0 victory over Luton Town in the opening game of game week three, Chelsea earned their first league victory under Mauricio Pochettino. Tottenham went ahead of the Gunners on goal differential after beating Bournemouth, while Arsenal tied their match against Fulham after falling behind early. For the moment Manchester City are still the favourites but there are some great games ahead of us in September. For example, the first North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham on 24 September 2023.
FIBA Basketball World Cup: The FIBA Basketball World Cup commenced on 23 August 2023. After claiming victories in their respective groups on Sunday, Canada, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, and Montenegro became the first five teams to secure a spot in the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. Hence after three days of competition in the 19th World Cup, five of the 16 spots in the Second Round have already been locked up. There were a couple of firsts so far. South Sudan got their first World Cup victory with a dominant 89:69 win over China. The same applies to the team of Cape Verde who also secured a historic first win. On Monday’s fourth day, a number of teams can join Canada, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, and Montenegro.

Rugby World Cup 2023
The first major battle between France and New Zealand will take place on September 8, 2023, which is less than 14 days away. What an exciting first game at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis! There are 20 teams participating and we have seen some surprise qualifiers that have really upped their game.
The first few warm up games have been exciting, and there is still a lot of excitement for the RWC 2023. We are eager to see what is to come. Tommy Paul, Francisco Cerundolo, and Ben Shelton will join World No. 9 Taylor Fritz, World No. 10 Frances Tiafoe, and World No. 15 Felix Auger-Aliassime on Team World, according to Team World Captain McEnroe. Hubert Hurkacz of Poland and the resilient veteran Gael Monfils have been announced by Borg as his two remaining competitors. They will pair up with the No. 4 player in the world, Holger Rune, No. 5 player Casper Ruud, No. 7 player Stefanos Tsitsipas, and No. 8 player Andrey Rublev. A later time will mark the announcement of both teams’ backup players.
Golf Tournaments
By defeating Rory McIlroy to win the US Open in Los Angeles, Wyndham Clark won his first major championship. This victory helped him climb the world rankings and put him in position to play for the Ryder Cup. In the last two weeks of the PGA Tour season, Viktor Hovland played the finest golf of his life. It paid off with the biggest trophy of his career — a FedEx Cup win and the $18 million bonus.
Wyndham Clark, the U.S. Open champion, finished third, 11 strokes down, and won the B-Flight. That merited a bonus of $5 million. Patrick Cantlay (66) finished alone in fifth place and earned $3 million, while Rory McIlroy (65) finished fourth and earned $4 million. Formula 1
The Formula one has one of the longest calendars to date this year. Drivers have just come back from a well deserved summer break and we saw an epic race on Sunday in the Netherlands. The rain also made it a difficult race with a few cars spinning off track. The drivers Zhou, Leclerc and Sargeant were the 3 cars that could not finish the race due to accidents in these tricky conditions. Alonso made it to podium and was driver of the day! Gasly had a great race and Alpines plan for the him on the day just worked. Furthermore here are the next races to keep track off:
